From Tokyo to Times Square: Kyoko Oyobe

Join us for an enchanting evening of jazz with the Kyoko Oyobe Trio at Klavierhaus on Tuesday, November 5, as part of our Japanese Jazz Piano Series, “From Tokyo to Times Square.” This series celebrates the vibrant musical and cultural bridge between Japan and New York. Japanese-born pianist and composer Kyoko Oyobe has been a vital force in the New York jazz scene since her arrival in 2005. A prodigy who began playing piano at age four, Kyoko’s musical journey took a pivotal turn at 19 when she was inspired by a live performance of Kensaku Tanikawa, leading her to the world of jazz.
