Since being founded in London in 2018, FOC IT UP has enjoyed a sold-out residency at London’s Phoenix Arts Club, a ground-breaking debut at Southbank Festival and two years of change-making shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

At FOC IT UP, an audience predominantly made up of young women and queer people get to enjoy comedy in a safe environment that’s not necessarily a “safe space”. FOC IT UP Comedy provides a space for comedians of color to experiment with material in a way they might not experience anywhere else. This is why FOC IT UP is a part of “a new generation of comics retaliating against the old template of comedy”, according to the Guardian.
