Drama Desk’s Annual Spring Luncheon and Panel Discussion

The topic is “Why Shakespeare? Why Now?” which will focus on New York’s current theater season’s distinctive Shakespearean flavor.The panelists include: actor Michael Pennington (starring as King Lear at the Theatre for a New Audience in Brooklyn); actor Scott Shepherd (Cry, Trojans!, The Wooster Group’s Troilus & Cressida) and director Daniel Sullivan, (The Comedy of Errors, Shakespeare in the Park). The discussion will be moderated by Carol Rocamora, a renowned playwright/critic and educator who is a member of the Drama Desk.
