DraftWork

The DraftWork series, curated by Ishmael Houston-Jones, is a series of informal Saturday afternoon performances that affords choreographers an opportunity to show works-in-progress. Performances are followed by discussions and informal receptions that allow both the artist and the audience a greater perspective on the other’s viewpoint.

November 8 at 3pm
De Facto Dance perform Cinderzilla, a dance theater piece that weaves together the stories of Cinderella and Godzilla. Gray Memory is also performed, which explores moments that suddenly change life by tracing back into an individual’s distant past.

December 13 at 3pm
The Marie-Christine Giordano Dance Company perform Solo for Two, which explores conflicted aspects of womanhood in an intimate, personal way. They also perform Desiderata, a solo in three sections which explores the line between things wanted and needed.

Note: There is no late seating.
