Chestnuts, a new play by Aladen Gulmohamad

Aladen Gulmohamad, is pleased to present this 60 minute excerpt of his new play, CHESTNUTS as an official selection of the Spark Theater Festival, directed by award winning director and producer, Katie Michelle Stahl. This is a ONE NIGHT ONLY presentation on April 12th at 7 p.m. followed by a talkback. Tickets are $20 online and $25 at the door. CHESTNUTS is an extremely raw, bitterly hilarious, and topical play about familial trauma and addiction that spans generations. The show takes place over the course of a single Christmas night, where unresolved grief, addiction, and love collide inside a fractured household. When confrontations turn violent and temptation pushes Malcolm to the edge of relapse, CHESTNUTS forces each character to confront the difference between love and enabling, loyalty, grief, and accountability.
