About This Show

A theatrical celebration of food, glorious food, Cabaret Gourmet is a tribute to the shared spirit of the culinary and theater arts. Both offer “food for the soul” — but dinner theater, this is not. The event features delicacies from New York City’s top chefs and restaurants, distinctive wines and specialty cocktails, silent and live auctions, and performances by stars of stage and screen.

Throughout the evening, enjoy savory and sweet samplings, festive cocktails and classic wines. Participating Chefs/Restaurants include: Chef Michael Ayoub / Cronkite Pizzeria and Wine Bar, Chef David DeCarlo / Angus McIndoe, Marian Golea / Acasa, Chef Ale Gaurnaschilli / Butter, Chef Michael Hu / Hana Pastries, Chef Jehangir Mehta / Graffiti Food and Wine, Chef Nancy Olson / Gramercy Tavern, and Chef Cedric Tovar / Peacock Alley.

Performers include: Manoel Felciano (Sweeney Todd), Malcolm Gets (Amour), Michael Green (Wine and Spirits Consultant, Gourmet Magazine), Cheyenne Jackson (All Shook Up, Aida), actress/writer Madhur Jaffrey (Bombay Dreams), Marc Kudisch (The Apple Tree, The Pirates of Penzance), composer/writer/lyricist Michael John LaChiusa (See What I Wanna See, The Wild Party, Marie Christine), author Alex Prud’Homme (co-author of My Life in France), Mary Testa (42nd Street, On the Town), and others. Ted Sperling (The Light in the Piazza, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Full Monty) directs the eclectic array of food-inspired acts.
