About This Show

Winner of two 2017 Tony Awards!

Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812 is based on 70 pages of Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace. Natasha is a beautiful ingenue visiting Moscow while she waits for her beloved fiancé Andrey to return from the war against France. In a moment of indiscretion, she is seduced by the dashing (but married) Anatole, and her position in society is all but ruined. Her only hope lies with Pierre (Groban), a lonely outsider whose love for Natasha may be the key to her redemption and to the renewal of his own soul.

The Great Comet comes to Broadway after a sold-out run in Boston and a critically acclaimed off-Broadway premiere in 2013. Its renowned creative team has redesigned the Imperial Theatre as an opulent Russian salon, where every seat provides a unique perspective and an unforgettable experience. The musical’s groundbreaking score mixes rock, pop, soul, folk, and electronic dance music with a classic Broadway sound.
