About this show

Bethany Yarrow explores the haunted, slithering side of the deep river of American song. In unexpected ways, she takes traditional tunes into a land of deep groove, transforming them into a mesmerizing mix of the old and the new. With a deep soulful voice somewhere between Annie Lennox and PJ Harvey and an ace band that includes Brian Jackson on keyboards, Rufus Cappadocia on cello, Joe Magistro on drums and Winston Roye on bass, it doesn't look or sound like her father's (who happens to be Peter of Peter, Paul and Mary) kind of folk.
