About the Show
Following its initial New York engagement, Ahoradespués expanded its international presence, earning recognition for its intimate storytelling and powerful solo performance. The production received Best Actor and Best Lighting Design honors from the TALIA NY Awards, as well as a Special Recognition from the HOLA Awards, which cited the work among the most notable productions of its season.
Written as a deeply personal narrative, Ahoradespués centers on a son confronting the loss of his father by retracing formative moments from his childhood and adolescence. In a solo performance that moves fluidly between memory and imagined encounters, he revisits family rituals, shared silences, and the weight of masculine inheritance. The play traces how masculinity, grief, and emotional restraint are passed down across generations, balancing poetic language with restrained humor to explore the lasting impact of words left unsaid.
The New York run is part of Teatro Fest NYC.
