About the Show
The Actors Theatre Workshop welcomes you to a live poetry reading from 8 acclaimed NYC poets exploring social issues of today. Following the reading, we will conclude with a Q&A and screening of a short film from co-producer Christian Morant, which features 20 extraordinary poets (including the cast) and music by the incomparable Christine Elise. This production is an ode to the community that has revitalized the life and purpose of the performing artist. It explores themes of vulnerability, confidence, fear, external validation, and other challenges that many of us face when publicly sharing our craft. Ultimately though it is more than a performance, art, or poetry… it’s a new era of STAGE PRESENCE
