Odile Duboc has been working as a choreographer since 1980. In 1990, she was named Director of the Centre Chorégraphique National de Franche-Comté à Belfort. She was awarded the choreography prize from Société des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques in 1999.
Contre Jour was founded in 1983 by Duboc and lighting designer Françoise Michel. The company’s name is a pun based on the artistic collaboration between the creator and her lighting designer.
