About the Show
This program pays tribute to the hundredth anniversary of the birth of seminal American composer John Cage. Featured on the bill are works by Anton Webern, Morton Feldman and Erik Satie–fellow composers to whom Cage expressed lifelong devotion–and three pieces by Cage himself, two of which will receive their New York premieres.
