A Gay Masseur’s Guide to Happy Endings at Spark Theatre Festival

About the Show

A Gay Masseur’s Guide to Happy Endings, a solo show written and performed by Austin Jennings Boykin, will be presented as part of the SPARK Theatre Festival on April 15 at 7PM. The work follows a New York City actor who begins offering “gay massage” as a source of income, evolving into an exploration of desire, sobriety, and identity. The piece combines humor with autobiographical elements to examine themes of performance, validation, and connection. The play has been developed through prior workshop presentations in Provincetown and at The Chain Theatre. The upcoming SPARK Theatre Festival performance marks its first presentation since the addition of dramaturg and producer Anna Koppelman, and precedes a planned run at the Edinburgh Fringe. The production is directed by Joe DeStefano. April 15 at 7:00 PM TADA! Theater 15 W 28th St New York, NY 10001
