Originally presented on National Public Radio’s “Morning Edition,” The Santaland Diaries is a comic commentary about the collision of Christmas and commerce by one of America’s leading humorists, David Sedaris. Later adapted for the stage, this one-man show describes what happens when an out-of-work slacker takes a job as an elf in Macy’s Santaland over a particularly bitter Christmas season. Full of wry insights, this sardonic anti-holiday treat describes the Yuletide luncacy that brings out the best and worst in all of us.
