Macbeth

In medieval Scotland, three witches prophesy that Macbeth, a nobleman in the army of King Duncan, will become king. But they also foretell that future Scottish kings will descend not from Macbeth, but from his fellow army captain, Banquo. Ambition, confusion and obsession stir Macbeth to precipitous action. Based on a true historical account, Macbeth charts the bloody rise to power and tragic downfall of the infamous warrior.
