About the Show

Celebrated for its music, architecture, and art, Dresden is known affectionately as “Florence on the River Elbe.” At the musical heart of the German city, and captivating audiences since 1870, is the legendary Dresden Philharmonic. Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Dvo?ák, Richard Strauss, Bruno Walter, and Fritz Busch are just a few of the giants of classical music who have led the orchestra over the past 138 years. Conducted by Rafael Frühbeck de Burgos, with Gautier Capuçon, cello soloist.
