About This Show

It’s complicated, it’s complex, it’s aggravating, it’s amazing, and it’s Long Wharf’s! Now, Long Wharf celebrates its beloved hometown of New Haven with a custom-tailored adaptation of The Good Person of Szechwan, one of the great fables of the modern stage. Developed with the legendary Cornerstone Theater Company through an eighteen-month workshop process, the show reflects the dreams and disappointments of hundreds of New Haven residents and features over 20 community artists working side by side with professional performers. Through this contemporary spin on Brecht’s masterpiece, a revealing and inspiring look at New Have and its citizens is achieved.
