The Gesualdo Six – Redefining Vocal Harmony

The Gesualdo Six is an award-winning British vocal ensemble celebrated for their innovative programming and flawless blend. Directed by Owain Park, the group was founded in 2014 during a Cambridge performance of Gesualdo’s Tenebrae Responsories. Since then, they’ve performed globally at iconic venues like the Wigmore Hall, Sydney Opera House, and BBC Proms.

Recent highlights include their 2024 South American debut in Colombia and upcoming tours to Japan, China, and Singapore. Renowned for their versatility, they’ve collaborated with ensembles such as Fretwork and the Brodsky Quartet, and premiered the concert-theatre work Secret Byrd. Their commitment to education shines through workshops for young musicians, two international composition competitions, and new commissions from composers like Shruthi Rajasekar and Héloïse Werner.

Their eight critically acclaimed albums, including English Motets and Queen of Hearts (2024), showcase their brilliance. Beyond the stage, their social media content has brought classical music to millions, with stunning video performances and engaging storytelling.

“There’s an undefinable excitement that comes from a group of musicians working absolutely as one.” – Gramophone
