Death and the Maiden

Death and the Maiden is set against the backdrop of a nation in turmoil after years of suffering under the rule of a brutal dictatorship. On a calm, clear night Gerardo Escobar, a lawyer appointed by the President of the new government to investigate war crimes of the old regime, is stranded on the road with flat tire and has no spare. Dr. Roberto Miranda stops to help Gerardo and gives him a lift home. Unfortunatly, as good intentioned as the deed was, it sets into motion a series of upheavals that reflect the nation’s need to come to grips with anger and justice.
