Paul Herwig presents “Prairie Fire” – a new 360-degree immersive video, animation, and projection mapping environment solo theater production

Prairie Fire, a new original multi-media theater production, will be performed in St Paul Ballet Studios’ “white box” January 23-25. Both melancholic and hopeful, Prairie Fire surrounds the audience in an environment of live animation and video projections drawn from family albums, historical documentation from a small Minnesota prairie town, and references to contemporary events to tell the wonders and travails of a young boy born among the Midwest prairies as he grows up. When confronted by the chaos and division of the world, he faces a choice: become an Agent for Destruction, or a Warrior against the Darkness.
