The Good Body

Eve Ensler’s The Vagina Monolgues shot down societal notions of acceptable topics in theaters. In The Good Body, the writer/performer turns her unique eye to the entirety of the female form. Whether undergoing Botox injections or living beneath burkahs, women of all cultures and backgrounds feel compelled to change the way they look in order to fit in, to be accepted, to be “good.” Merging these cross-cultural explorations with her own personal journey to come to terms with her “less-than-flat post 40’s stomach.
