Over the Tavern

Intelligent, wise-cracking, twelve-year-old Rudy Pazinski believes that God put us on earth to "have fun," and wonders why his working class, Polish-Catholic family isn’t having any. While shopping for a more "fun" religion, Rudy sets out to make sense of the world from his cramped apartment in Buffalo, New York. He challenges his teachers, exasperates his parents, and learns a lot about God, family, and growing up.
