About the Show
Dear Ruth is written by Norman Krasna. In a fit of patriotism, teenager Miriam decides to help the war effort by writing letters to a serviceman. And, to really help raise morale with her correspondence, she signs her older sister’s name – never thinking that her overseas penpal would show up on the familiy doorstep.
