Nocturne for a Southern Lady

A blind woman hires a reader to come to her apartment a few hours a day and read to her. The reader turns out to be a young black man. Tension and suspense follows. A strange relationship develops with many twists and turns. Emotions vacillate between mistrust and feelings of friendship, between anger and gentle concern. And, beneath it all fate lurks like a jackal in the shadows.
