Devour the Snow

Battling the elements and then battling themselves, Devour the Snow is the emotional recollection of events that occurred over the six-month period when members of the Donner party were trapped and unable to cross a Sierra Nevada mountain summit to safety, which resulted in some members resorting to cannibalism. The action is set in the courtroom at Sutter’s Fort where Lewis Keseberg, a German emigrant and survivor, sought damages for slanderous accusations made by other survivors. Devour the Snow tells the gripping tale of the strength of the human spirit when it is faced with overwhelming challenges. David Regal directs.
