New York City
This all-teen production of the classic American musical celebrates the show’s 50th anniversary. With music by Leonard Bernstein, lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, and a book by Arthur Laurents, West Side Story is a musical retelling of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet, with the action set in New York City during the ethnic teen gang warfare of the 1950s.
Presented in dinner-theater format, this production is appropriate for families with children ages 10 and up.
Boston Children’s Theatre (BCT) is the only performing arts organization in Boston whose sole mission is to provide live theatre opportunities for children. All BCT productions, which feature “live theatre for children by children,” will take place in Paul Revere Hall at the Grand Lodge of Masons of Massachusetts.
No children under 3 will be admitted. Lapsitting is not permitted.
