The Taste o’ Burlesque

Computer programmers, college students, teachers, and even reporters are trading in their regular attire for a feather boa and rhinestone pasties at The Taste o’ Burlesque. New England’s only “Burlesque open mic” draws performers from all over the region, as well as all walks of life to The Paradise Lounge on Commonwealth Avenue.

Like any great competition, Taste o’ Burlesque has prizes and judges. Prizes are donated by local bands, merchants, and Shimmy magazine (a national magazine focused on the burlesque scene). Past judges have included musicians, reporters, and performers.
