About the Show
The Giver, based on the Newberry Award winning novel, questions the wisdom of a society that has eliminated pain and suffering as well as emotion, colors, animals and nature. The Giver tells the story of Jonas, a 12-year-old boy, who is chosen as the Receiver of Memory by his society.
