Side Show

Riverside Theatre Works opens its 2003/2004 season with Side Show. Based on a true story, the musical portrays the lives of conjoined twins, Daisy and Violet Hilton, who leave the side show seeking love and fame as they become Vaudeville stars during the depression and later the stars of the Hollywood cult films Freaks and Chained for Life. The four time Tony nominated musical, with book and lyrics by Bill Russell and music by Dreamgirls composer Henry Kreiger, is a deeply heartfelt examination of love, personality and acceptance. Songs include “Who Will Love Me As I Am” and “I Will Never Leave You”. Keith A. Grassette directs.
