Hooray for the Ladies

American Classics presents a special concert dedicated to American women composers, songwriters, and lyricists, Hooray for the Ladies. Featured in a wide-ranging program are composers Amy Beach, Libby Larson, Adaline Shepherd, Ruth Crawford Seeger, and Zenobia Powell Perry. Songwriters and lyricists are Carrie Jacobs Bond, Dana Suesse, Kay Swift, Ann Ronell, Mary Rodgers, and Dorothy Fields, along with singer-songwriters Billie Holiday and Ella Fitzgerald. Principal performers for this concert are singers Mary Ann Lanier and Eric Sosman, violist Christopher Borg, and pianists Fredericka King and Margaret Ulmer. Also joining are two other American Classics members, song duo Benjamin Sears & Bradford Conner.
