About the Show
This show was inspired by the true story of Lonesome George, a giant tortoise who was discovered in 1971 on an island in the Galapagos where his species was believed to be extinct. George is just hatching when the show starts, but he sure does get big. Galapagos George is an excellent vehicle for learning about man’s impact on the environment.
