About the Show

The explosive Tony Award winner, Copenhagen transcends the boundaries of Science and Art, History and Politics, the intellectual and the emotional. In 1942, at the height of World War II, German Physicist Werner Heisenberg traveled to Copenhagen in search of his mentor, and the preeminent atomic physicist of the day, the half-Jewish Dane Niels Bohr. Their conversation, which has been the subject of much controversy and speculation, has never been revealed. Michael Frayn (Noises Off, Benefactors) disturbs the spirits of the past, revives these historical figures and supplies the dialogue, revealing that the uncertainty principle pertains to more than just physics. Diego Arciniegas directs.

Copenhagen runs in repertory with The Beard of Avon.
