Compagnie Hervé Koubi

About the Show

After selling out its stunning performances last year, Compagnie Hervé Koubi returns with its highly physical, fluid work that combines hip-hop, and contemporary dance with powerful Sufi imagery.

The company of French-Alegerian and African male dancers performs the breathtaking Ce que le jour doit à la nuit (What the Day Owes the Night) on Friday. Saturday’s program features the Boston premiere of Les nuits barbares ou les premiers matins du monde (The Barbarian Nights or the First Dawns of the World), an awe-inspiring new work that explores the historical mix of countless cultures and religions that make up a universal Mediterranean ethos.
