Cheryl Wheeler

Provincetown Nonprofit community radio station WOMR – 92.1 FM presents legendary singer-songwriter Cheryl Wheeler in a very special benefit performance in celebration of Women’s Week 2008.

Cheryl Wheeler is a longtime favorite of Outer Cape audiences who has not performed in Provincetown for a number of years. She has to be seen to be appreciated. Nothing one could read – or even hear from her recorded work – can prepare the concertgoer for the rich and riotous experience of Wheeler live in concert. Wheeler’s concerts are more like what one would find at a comedy club than at a folk music show. She will tell a story that has the crowd rolling in the aisles, and then sing a song that leaves one wiping tears from the eyes. She will talk about a serious current event, and then sing a song that brings howls of laughter.

Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and the music starts at 8.
