Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater

It’s a sign of spring in Boston, an enduring ritual, and always a special occasion. Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater returns for five shows only, and you won’t want to miss this year’s performances.

The Ailey dancers can do it all! Programs include up-to-the-minute reflections on togetherness and presence inspired by the isolation of the COVID-19 pandemic, an evening celebrating the 10th anniversary of Artistic Director Robert Battle, and a program that looks back over Alvin Ailey’s jazz- and blues-inspired works. All performances close with the company’s signature work, Mr. Ailey’s “Revelations.”
