New York City
Meredith Willson’s The Music Man is a fun and lively musical that tells of the arrival of con artist Professor Harold Hill, who manages to sing and dance his way into the hearts of the people of River City, Iowa. The good professor charms the town into gathering the money to buy uniforms for a boy’s marching band led by none other than the roguish Professor himself, of course. Townsfolk are left enlightened and energized. The score features classic musical theater staples such as “76 Trombones,” “Ya Got Trouble,” “Good Night, My Someone,” and many more.
