The Merry Wives of Windsor

About This Show

Shakespeare’s only domestic comedy centers around one of his most popular characters, the foolish, gluttonous and lecherous Sir John Falstaff, who also figures prominently in two of Shakespeare’s history plays, Henry IV Parts One and Two.

Arriving in Windsor and finding himself short of funds, Falstaff schemes. He writes love letters to two wealthy married women Mistress Ford and Mistress Page, in the hopes of wooing them to gain financial advantage.
