About This Show

The Visceral Company is thrilled to present the LA premiere of SOUTHERN GOTHIC NOVEL: The Aberdeen, Mississippi Sex-Slave Incident, a hilarious recounting of a series of awful events that beset a small southern town.

Conceived, written and performed by New York stage veteran Frank Blocker, SOUTHERN GOTHIC NOVEL earned a New York Drama Desk nomination for best solo show.

In SOUTHERN GOTHIC NOVEL, Blocker plays 17 different characters from the small town of Aberdeen, Mississippi – all within the space of an hour – delivering dialogue in rapid fire and myriad regional accents. He also uses skilled pantomime to create every conceivable piece of scenery and action, even a knock-down-drag-out fight between four characters and a hostage.
