The Shakespeare Road

Ruth Wolf’s new play The Shakespeare Road features what once were a gorgeous ingénue and a dashing matinee idol. Now these two theater animals are forced to share a shabby dressing room on the road. They match wits shortly before the curtain rises in a desperate effort to revive their flagging careers and salvage their wounded egos, all the while coming to terms with their aging, tempestuous lives and each other.
