About the Show

In August, 1933, in the depths of the depression, couples flock to Atlantic City’s Marine Ballroom on the Steel Pier to compete for a $2,000 dance marathon prize. For the talented Rita Racine, there is more at stake than a sponsor, a shot at a performance career or a hefty cash prize; she is taking the journey of her life.

With a book by David Thompson, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, Steel Pier is a love story that will make you want to get up and dance the Rhumba, the Waltz, the Two-Step and the infamous Grizzly Bear.

Directed by Maura Hanlon; Musical Direction by Scott Storr; Choreography by Barney O’Hanlon
