Pump Boys & Dinettes

The ‘Pump Boys’ are good natured gas station attendants with abundant musical talents and down home charm – and this is their exuberant tribute to life by the roadside, friendship and home cooking! On one side of Highway 57 somewhere between Frog Level and Smyrna is a gas station run by four happy-go-lucky guys who provide service with a smile. They join forces with the two Cupp sisters who own the diner across the road where fun is always on the menu. The result is a high-spirited American musical with a blend of country, bluegrass and gospel. An evening of high-octane entertainment, fun and memorable songs like “Farmer Tan,” “The Night Dolly Parton Was Almost Mine” and “Drinkin’ Shoes” and nominated for a Tony Award for Best Musical, Pump Boys & Dinettes is a wildly entertaining celebration of life’s simple pleasures through the charisma and music of six relentlessly cheerful people out to have a good time.
