About This Show

This take on the myth of Orpheus is one of Tennessee Williams’ most gripping dramas. Set in a small-minded small town, the show follows a handsome young man as he pursues an affair with an unhappily married older woman. Written in 1957, Orpheus Descending is a rework of Williams’ own Battle of Angels. The production is directed by Nicholas Hytner.
