In one of the most fruitful and doomed collaborations in the history of the American Musical Theatre, Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart lent a phenomenal musical dimension to the golden age of Musical Comedy. Rodgers’s talent for turning out a gorgeously sweet melody was, for the 23 years of their union, uniquely matched by Hart’s sometimes deeply heartrending, mostly fiendishly clever and often sharply satiric verses. Broadway stars KT Sullivan and Eric Michael Gillett join musical director James Followell and host Lee Davis to bring that bright and breezy age to life again.
