The story of Prince Hamlet’s ill-fated quest to avenge his father’s murder is arguably Shakespeare’s most powerful play. Director John Sefel wrote this unique adaptation of Hamlet, which draws heavily from Japanese Noh Drama. This version of the famous tragedy is highly stylized, with elegant kimonos, masks, puppets, live music, speech in both English and Japanese, a "living set" created by the ensemble, dances, and sword fights.
