The Gingerbread Man

In Geraldine Ann Snyder’s version of The Gingerbread Man, Mrs. Spatula and her loyal staff are in danger of being thrown out of the bakery by their landlord, Fonrose Fox. The rent must be paid by noon or Mr. Fox will go through with his plans to tear down the bakery and build a car wash. With the holidays approaching, Mrs. Spatula feels she will be able to sell enough pies and cookies to pay Mr. Fox, but he refuses to give her the extra time she needs. When Mr. Fox sees Mrs. Spatula’s display of Gingerbread Man cookies, he places a special order for an extraordinary Gingerbread Man. Then the magic begins!
