About the Show

Cheryl Davis’ play takes a flight into aviation history to tell the story of Bessie Coleman, the first African American female pilot. With the support of her family, Bessie travels from her home in Waxahachie, Texas to Chicago and then on to Paris to become a licensed pilot and trailblazer in aviation history.
