Hedwig and the Angry Inch

Hedwig and the Angry Inch is the groundbreaking and award-winning Off-Broadway smash hit about “the internationally ignored song stylist” Hedwig, a former “slip of a girly-boy” from communist East Berlin who also happens to be the victim of a botched sex-change operation which has left her with only an “angry inch.”

This outrageous and unexpectedly comic story is a stunning tour de force performed by Miss Hedwig in the form of a rock gig/stand-up act backed by her hard-rocking band, “The Angry Inch,” and the enigmatic disillusioned roadie, Yitzhak. Using songs and monologues, Hedwig tells her story from beginning to “end” about her life’s search for “The Origin of Love” and for her estranged other half.
