Austin Pendleton’s Orson’s Shadow is a semi-fictional play which envisions a series of dramatic backstage encounters between Orson Welles, Laurence Olivier, Vivien Leigh, Joan Plowright, and renowned British critic Kenneth Tynan around the time of Welles’ 1960 London premiere of Eugene Ionesco’s Rhinoceros.
