Great Beast Theater presents Stories from New York, two one-acts by Jason Milligan.

The Best Warm Beer in Brooklyn is a wild farce about two high school buddies, Joey and Eddie, reunited late one night in Joey’s bar. Eddie, a young writer, tells Joey about all the bizarre things he’s subjected himself to in order that he might “suffer enough” to create his masterpiece novel – his belief being that “only the artist who suffers creates lasting art.”
In Nights in Hohokus, working class characters Manny and Lenny spend most of their time sitting around in their favorite neighborhood bar in Hohokus, New Jersey, complaining. That is, until the younger Lenny wakes
up one day and realizes there’s got to be more to life.

A special Chicago Police and Fire Department Benefit Performance will be held on September 11 at 7:00 pm. All tickets to the benefit are $30.00, and the evening’s
proceeds will go to the Police and Fire Funds.
