St. John’s Wort

There are many ancient superstitions regarding this herb. Its name Hyperieum is derived from the Greek and means ‘over an apparition,’ a reference to the belief that the herb was so obnoxious to evil spirits that a whiff of it would cause them to fly. ST. JOHN’S WORT was also formed in August, 1998 as the inaugural group in the Playground’s “Improv Incubator” program. They have joined the Playground as a full-fledged member ensemble and promise to heighten everyone’s mood on North Lincoln Avenue. Funny and obnoxious!!
